Studio Immersive FAQs

Sunday, January 17 - Tuesday, January 19, 2027

  • The Commuter Studio Immersive is designed for participants who live in/near Boston. This means that:

    • The programming day is shorter to accommodate day-to-day responsibilities

    • Participants are invited to bring their own lunches from home

    • The tuition for the Commuter Studio Immersive is priced at a lower cost to reflect the shorter experience

    You are welcome to apply if you live outside of the Boston area, but please note that you will be responsible for your transportation, housing, and meals for the duration of the program. 

  • Applications will be open from October 19th through November 20th. Notification of status will take place by mid-December. 

    We expect more interest in this immersive than there are spots available, and we regret that we are unable to accept everyone who expresses interest in participating. Please note that we almost always open a waitlist up in case more spots become available.

    The Studio Immersive is designed for people who are both new to and those familiar with the Jewish Studio Process. However, we prioritize applicants who have prior experience with us, so we highly recommend attending a program before applying. Check out our upcoming programs here.

  • At the JSP Studio Immersive, you will experience full-day, facilitated creative process sessions using the Jewish Studio Process, led by Rabbi Adam Lavitt, Director of Learning. Each day will be thoughtfully curated to support your learning, connection, and growth.

    The experience includes:

    • Community building experiences designed for genuine connection

    • Morning groundings with music, reflection, and meditation

    • Havruta (paired-learning) based Jewish text study, led with warmth and inclusivity

    • Dynamic programming designed for deep learning  

    • An opportunity to carve out time in your everyday life to feel refreshed, inspired, and optimistic

    The experience does not include meals or lodging. There will be a break for lunch each day, and participants will be responsible for bringing their own lunch. Snacks, coffee, and tea will be available throughout the day. 

  • Schedule

    The JSP Studio Immersive will run from 9am - 4pm on Sunday, January 17th through Tuesday, January 19th. All activities will take place at the JSP Boston Studio in Newton, MA. Participants will be expected to participate for the full duration of the program.

    Pricing

    The program fee for the Studio Immersive is $900/person. Limited reduced-cost tuition options are available - please see the application for more details. The program fee includes all learning, art materials, and JSP swag.
