HOURS & LOCATION: Full Time, US-based, Remote with some travel
ABOUT JEWISH STUDIO PROJECT
Jewish Studio Project (JSP) builds creative capacity across the Jewish community. Founded in 2015, JSP has evolved from a small startup into a leading national organization with a dynamic team, a growing network of partners and leaders, and a reach of tens of thousands. Our unique methodology strengthens creative capacity—equipping individuals and organizations with tools to navigate change, build resilience, and reimagine Jewish life.
We are implementing an ambitious strategic plan to scale our impact through three key pathways: expanding access to JSP content, equipping Jewish leaders with creative tools, and establishing a network of regional creativity hubs across the country.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Director of Marketing will play a pivotal role in JSP's growth strategy, leading our efforts to position creativity as a "must-have" for Jewish life nationwide. This critical team member will develop and execute multi-channel marketing strategies that amplify JSP's brand presence, drive program participation, and share our impact story with a rapidly expanding audience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Brand Development & Strategic Communications
Lead the evolution and implementation of JSP's brand identity across all platforms
Develop comprehensive marketing strategies that align with our strategic plan goals
Create compelling impact storytelling initiatives that demonstrate the power of our methodology
Position JSP as a leader in the emerging field of Creative Health
Secure media features and thought leadership placements
Website & Digital Presence
Lead website development, ensuring user-friendliness and dynamic content
Maintain website accessibility standards and SEO optimization
Oversee digital marketing strategies including paid advertising and email marketing
Manage digital analytics and reporting to drive data-informed decisions
Content Creation & Campaign Management
Design and implement multi-channel campaigns for program recruitment, fundraising initiatives, and general awareness
Develop strategy for national newsletters that effectively balance organizational priorities
Create bold, dynamic content for social media channels (Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn)
Produce digital assets including creative prompts, email journeys, and marketing materials
Oversee the communications calendar and lead regular coordination meetings
Cross-Department Collaboration
Partner with regional studios to develop localized marketing strategies
Support the development team with fundraising campaigns and donor communications
Collaborate with program teams to create effective recruitment materials
Team Leadership
Build and manage a growing marketing team as the organization expands
Oversee relationships with external consultants and vendors
Develop systems to maintain brand consistency across a distributed organization
QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of experience in marketing leadership, with demonstrated success in brand development and multi-channel campaign management
Strong background in digital marketing, with expertise in content creation for both still imagery and video
Experience with newsletter writing and design; familiarity with Mailchimp preferred
Design savvy with ability to create multi-dimensional, on-brand images for diverse campaigns
Demonstrated comfort and proficiency with using AI tools for marketing tasks with a commitment to ethical and strategic application.
Understanding of the Jewish organizational and digital landscape
Strong project management skills with experience leading complex initiatives
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with exceptional attention to detail
Experience with marketing analytics and SEO implementation
Self-starter who thrives in a collaborative environment while maintaining independence
Passion for JSP's mission and vision for creativity in Jewish life
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Competitive salary range within JSP’s Director pay band of $80K-$95K, commensurate with experience
Comprehensive benefits including health, vision and dental plans; life insurance policy; and retirement savings program
140 hours of PTO plus federal and Jewish holidays
JSP Rest Week (final week of December)

HIRING PROCESS & TIMELINE

The hiring process for this role will include:
Brief screening call
In-depth second round interview with hiring supervisor
Final round of interviews with key members of the JSP team, assignment, and references.
