This retreat is designed for people who are:
Seeking a personal or professional growth experience that is embodied, creative, and impactful
Self-identify as Jewish, work professionally in a Jewish setting or are spiritually engaged with Judaism
Wanting a deeper understanding of the Jewish Studio Process core methodology
Open to extended art making time and deep Jewish learning - regardless of whether or not you’ve had prior experience with JSP

You’ll experience:
Full-day, facilitated creative process sessions using the Jewish Studio Process, led by Director of Learning Rabbi Adam Lavitt and JSP Staff
Morning groundings with uplifting music and heartfelt connection
Havruta (paired-learning) based Jewish text study, led with warmth and inclusivity
Dynamic programming designed for deep learning
Nourishing meals and snacks served throughout the day
A chance to pause your everyday life and create more space to feel refreshed, inspired, and optimistic

JSP Boston Studio
The Studio Immersive will be taking place at the JSP Boston Studio housed at Hebrew College's Shared Campus in Newton, MA.
Our studio is abundant with paints, markers, found objects, tea, and more. We can’t wait to welcome you in!
Schedule, Pricing, & Logistics
Schedule
A detailed schedule will be sent to accepted participants closer to the start of the retreat. You should plan to arrive at the studio by 3:00 pm on Sunday, July 19th 2026 and depart the studio at 12pm on Wednesday, July 22nd 2026.
Pricing & Accommodation
The total cost of this immersive is $1200 per attendee, and includes materials, JSP swag, programming, and meals. Reduced-cost tuition options are available - please see the application for more details.
All activities will take place at our Boston studio unless otherwise noted on our schedule.
JSP does not provide accommodations for this experience. JSP will reserve a block of rooms at a nearby hotel for folks traveling from out of town.
Application Process
We expect more interest in this immersive than there are spots available. Because we are looking to bring together a diverse group of participants with a range of experiences and perspectives, we will not be able to accommodate everyone who expresses interest in joining. The application deadline is Friday, April 17th and you will hear from us no later than Friday, April 24th.

Yes, this immersive is designed for people who are both new to and those familiar with the Jewish Studio Process. However, we highly recommend attending a virtual program before attending the retreat.

As this is a very short experience with daily activities that build upon each other, we ask that you only apply if you are available to participate fully in this immersive.

Yes! The studio and bathroom are both wheelchair accessible. If you have specific questions or concerns, please reach out to us.

All participants will be required to take a rapid COVID test before arriving to the studio on Sunday, July 19th. Masks are optional and extras will be available at the studio. If you are symptomatic or not feeling well, please stay home.

During the immersive we will provide breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner.
We are able to accommodate major allergens, sensitivities, and needs, including Kosher, vegan and/or gluten free. If you have more specific dietary restrictions than stated above, please reach out.
