From Sugya to Studio

What happens when you combine a radically queer approach to Talmud with the creativity within each one of us?

Introducing: From Sugya to Studio!

Join Svara and The Jewish Studio Project for a day-long immersive that brings together Svara’s radically queer study of Talmud with JSP’s soul-igniting, text-probing creative arts process. Together we’ll engage in-depth learning of Jewish text and a search for the radical roots of our tradition, we’ll activate what is alive within each one of us, and tap into the deep wellspring of our creativity as we seek new interpretations and insights.

Space is limited for this event and will fill up fast!

People with exposure to both learning processes are particularly encouraged to register. For this particular event in collaboration with Svara, all texts are learned in the original Hebrew/Aramaic, without translation. You don’t need to be an expert in Hebrew - even if you can only sound out your alef-bet (Hebrew alphabet), you can do this!

Because this is an immersive experience, we ask that participants are able to attend for the entire duration of the workshop. Lunch and snacks are provided.
