Selichot

Start your day off with a traditional Jewish practice of early morning communal singing celebrating the renewal and forgiveness possible during the High Holiday Season.

The Hebrew month of Elul invites us into a time of reflection, connection and spiritual preparation as we approach the High Holy Days. For centuries, throughout the month of Elul Middle Eastern Jews have engaged in a practice of early morning singing of liturgical poems known as Selichot as a way to make ready the soul for the Season of Awe. Selichot is a powerful, joyful, communal singing practice in which leadership is shared and is passed spontaneously around the group as the group starts to learn the melodies and words. We look forward to singing together in sacredness during these awesome days.
